Prosperity is not as you imagine, does not come as you would expect

I see how easily my eyes move from this time with You to the activities of my day, and how my eyes move outside. I see the distraction of outside prosperity calling, the need for my investments to be profitable, the desire to catch potential that would change my life drastically – all on the outside. And I would see how the outside movements would affect my inside movement with You.

Would I be so overjoyed on the outside that I would miss the joy of the inside that actually caused what I am seeing? I think I might. I want this movement increasingly each day yet notice I might have it backwards: would I not want to see the change within me, and be so grateful that my heart has been touched the way I have desired, to call that sufficient, all along knowing that what is inside will reflect on the outside?

I should seek to see within, then watch what might happen, and not fear what I might be missing. This would apply to all things, trading included.

I know your struggle in this; it’s been a way of life for you for so long, and for most all men. They see with eyes to circumstance, to desire, to hope, to joy that seems to appear only intermittently along a path of ‘what if’ or ‘if only’. Most live a life of chaos, seeking peace.

And yet, as you have discovered, even in the place of peace there is chaos all around and it’s easy to lose focus of what resides within. You feel the need to settle the chaos with what you have discovered, only to be swept up in it yourself. It is a difficult path, this walk with Me. Yet it is the one we embrace. For it is here where we are needed, where a man’s heart can change, where peace is found.

Yet this movement is difficult for you, for it is a path unknown. But you will succeed: you will discover that Peace moves in its own way, unseen by most, yet seems to appear suddenly. It is with most of what you see within: Goodness, Prosperity, Freedom. These and more move in ways unseen by man yet have always moved this way. This is what is to be seen within, to be sought when looking within. In searching for the way of them you will discover the ways of Me.

You struggle with being late to prosperity, as if it would come once, then leave, to disappear forever, that you would have missed an opportunity. It seems this has been a pattern of your life, and you fear the pattern continuing, even with My presence in your life. You have not seen true Prosperity, for you look for Him as you have in the past, from eyes that would see from without, and not from deep within. You know now true Prosperity will never be found that way.

I know patterns of thought, the ways of men, are difficult to break. Yet I am with you in this endeavor. You will come to see, if you endure in your search for Him, that Prosperity is not as you imagine, does not come as you would expect. It is for you to discover His ways, to leave any preconceived ideas behind, to wait for His presence, and then to follow. Only in this way will true Prosperity be revealed and satisfy the longing of your heart. Be with Me and you will find Him too.
