Do what you feel is required to become more aware of your heart

I have been thinking of the promises to the heart:  Your covenant promise not to destroy man again with a flood is a promise to Your heart, reminded  always with a rainbow.

I see this as an agreement with man but also a protection of Your heart. It grieved You to destroy, more than the overcoming of evil, and You would not have that again. Yet man would tempt You so many times to come that You set a rainbow as a reminder to protect Your heart. I need markers like that in my life.

In fact, I need to be aware of my heart in the same way as You – to pay attention to what disturbs it, what causes it pain, and to set a similar marker as a reminder to preserve that which is most important to You. I see my actions, even against myself, have painful consequences to my heart. I need to protect mine even as You protect Yours.

I need to be aware of my heart, vigilant in my word to protect it, to set reminders of my care for it.

And now you are beginning to understand, become aware, of My heart towards man, towards you. You sense the love, the care, concern, and passion I have for each – to expand into all they would be in Me. Each is not some creation just for My enjoyment alone, but for the oneness we would have together as we move through our creations. Would I not want to be a part of what he envisions, what he thinks, what he makes – even as he is a part of all of these within Mine?

Love is more than the appearance of circumstances outside the two – it is more the within, the two hearts becoming as one. We would be together, travel together, explore together, create together. That would require two hearts together.

Therefore it is as you are beginning to see – that attention needs to be paid to each heart: I have set reminders to do so; and now you are too. Do what you feel is required to become more aware of your heart, what it is feeling, what it is hoping for; in that you will then decide the requirements to protect it.

The key is that now you are aware of it – and you may forget in the future until reminded again of its importance. That is not failure – it is attending your heart that it might express what it truly is: one after Mine. I have set the rainbow as My reminder – what shall be yours?
