Day 138
I know I am easily shifted in opinion. I move within emotion, especially if it confirms a currently held belief. I want my beliefs to come to pass yet I know there are other emotions attached to my primary purpose – emotions that have, in the past, led to some flawed actions. I want this time to be different, because I see, a little bit, an opportunity to change a demeaning and hurtful system to many. This, I feel, is a real opportunity for change.
It must have been the same for the disciples of old – a witness of something, a someone, with the possibility of bringing change to the current system: and the hope driven, the following, the investment, all to see it disappear with death. They did not have a clear concept of how that change was to come about. Yet it did.
And so now I feel the same: that there is real system change to be, yet I may not have a clear understanding of how it will come about and may fall into the same trap of returning to my previous life, unfulfilled. I have, though, been encouraged by You to not do that, but to persist in my endeavors to remain close to You in Peace, regardless of consequences. I want more than diamond hands – I want a diamond spirit, a diamond will, a diamond purpose.

As you now have become aware, you are easily swayed. Most men are, especially to their way of thinking. But you do not think that way anymore: you have seen, and so thinking has changed. You have been made aware, and so actions have changed. I will say it differently this time: there is a course that men choose that leads them to a place they do not want to go, for they have no awareness of lies before them, no awareness of their heart: and the heart always leads, whether from good or evil. You are not of them.
You are of Me. And in that place I have given those you have seen as your guides, your friends, those that would always lead you into the ways of Me. If your heart is for them their guidance will be true. For now, trust them. For now, set your sight upon them.
For now, place your attention on narrowing your concentration in maintaining your well-being and removing those things that would distract from them, from Me. That means to focus on what you think about, what you read, what you ponder, what you do. Patience is more than an attitude: it is a behavior of the heart, will, and mind. It, and all the others you have been given, require your momentary connection always. And you will be led in perfect Peace.
[Ascribe: this statement – “..for they have no awareness of lies before them..” reads as written; there is no “what” before “lies”.]
