Do not take the appearance of quiet as a reason to make something happen

Day 60

I am remembering the story of Elijah, how fear led him to a place of searching for Your voice. He was likely in a place he was not supposed to be, this from a man of great spiritual power and demonstration. It’s a great lesson – not hearing Your voice may cause me to be where I am not to be; but searching for Your voice gives proper direction again. I sense that even if no action is happening that hearing Your voice continually is where I am to be.

It may seem as if nothing is happening in your life, perhaps no movement, growth, prosperity, no plan forthcoming. That is not so, for as you remember from before, there is always movement in my Kingdom. If there is no movement there is no growth; and My kingdom is always growing. My voice is always present in your life; sometimes it is hard to hear among all the other voices if you are not listening for it, but once found you will always hear. So always search for Me; I will always be found.

Do not take the appearance of quiet in your life as a reason to make something happen. Consider that if you are hearing My voice, and life seems quiet, then there is exactly where you should be – a place of rest and peace. Be grateful for those times; they are restorative for the next period of activity. Enjoy being with Me, and I will reveal Myself to you in those times.
