Do you know the Kingdom, its fullness, its desire to be known?

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it in all its fullness. John 10.10

But beyond that, if we are knit to Him by simple and continual faith, love, and obedience, then what is else barrenness becomes full of nourishment, and the unsatisfying gifts of the world become rich and precious. They are naught when they are put first, they are much when they are put second.

I remember when I was in Australia seeing some wretched cattle trying to find grass on a yellow pasture where there was nothing but here and there a brown stalk that crumbled to dust in their mouths as they tried to eat it. That is the world without Jesus Christ. And I saw the same pasture six weeks after, when the rains had come, and the grass was high, rich, juicy, satisfying. That is what the world may be to you, if you will put it second, and seek first that your souls shall be fed on Jesus Christ. Then, and only then, will what is else water be turned by His touch and blessing into wine that shall fill the great jars to the brim, and be pronounced by skilled palates to be the good wine. ‘I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be. There shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.’

I am of the mind that this is what I desire most of the Kingdom: the superabundance of all things – whether Your presence, Your words, Creation, Might, Freedom, Wisdom, and all other resources. I feel at times I have held out any desire for abundance to be a reflection of my past desire for a solitary spiritual walk of missing the possibilities of an abundant life on earth for the perceived sacrifice of one in heaven – as if the two were separate somehow, because Your presence was separated from Your creation.

I have come to believe that is not the case, that You are intimately involved with all Creation, that the ‘good’ you pronounce over it is, in my eyes, a joyful involvement of love and overflow of Your full heart in giving all of Yourself to its many expressions. I have always seen the end time destruction of all creation, and therefore of no value to me, to be replaced with something new.

I sense I have been wrong in my understanding until now: I feel more that I have rejected what You have poured out for me, and it has therefore become of no value to either of us, to be destroyed as a gift never received. Is it the same with You – is man destroyed in his rejection of God? I’m not sure what that means in practice but fear the worst for him.

I would not want to walk in fear but would receive everything You have provided for me: a salvation that includes the multi-abundance of all things. This is the prompting of all my desires – to receive all that has been given to me, to see these gifts in their fullness, to be constantly looking for all from You that reveals the fullness of everything You would give to me. I know it’s not just the possession of something as much as it is the revelation of the One that possesses all, and I would give all that I may receive all. I believe my deep desires are this expression.

Your words have become Mine. I know the issues you struggle with – the difficulties of thought, of body, of soul. But there has become a ceasing of the struggle for your heart, for I have seen it is after Me. That has always been My desire for all things, whether within you or around, that all would lead you to Me. You have now captured My heart even as I have yours.

It is in this place that all things have been given to you and now can be received by you. They are yours. And now it is up to you how to use them: will they become just possessions, or will they all become expressions of you – your heart of giving, of being? There is no proper way, no ‘good’ way – only the way you would share your heart.

This expression, however, can only come from Wisdom – in understanding what you hold and would give away. And that is where we are at present: do you know the Kingdom – its fullness and desire to be known? This can only come about through your desire to want it. That is what you will come to understand in the days ahead.

Therefore, be at peace that you are moving along this path to understanding, that you are now clearly seeing the role of desire, the emotions behind these desires, and the purpose of attaining the fullness of the walk within the manifestations of your creation – to becoming all you have been created to be in Me.
