And that is Light: it reveals as it is

I have seen this week that I cannot allow my thoughts to follow my feelings about what I read and encounter in the media. I see that it is easy to form an opinion based on what is presented, whether I know it to be true or not, and that opinion becomes rooted in my being. It is, I see now, a pattern in my life. With all the events of this week I fear that this has been my way of operating, as it is for most – that it is feelings of what seems to be right that governs my being, and not, perhaps, the truth.

I have also seen that moving within Your presence has given me a sense of stability, a steadfastness to rely on the One I know to be true, where Your word has settled my being a bit more. I have seen your words as true within these circumstances. I can almost feel a separation from events and a union with Your words; and it has given me some balance. I much prefer this way of life and want my communication with others to reflect this new balance.

There has always been this need in your life to recognize that My words are much more than they appear – they are life. They are more than symbols, a set of letters that read as a book. They move in creation, they change human understanding, they create and form new things within the human vision. They are truth, and they are real. This is the power of My words.

As such, it has been wise on your part to hold them as if they were life to you, for they are – the wisdom within them will guide your behavior, will frame your thoughts in truth, will fuel your emotions in their proper direction for accomplishing great things. They will frame your being, give you the power to change your environment, provide comfort within the chaos of this current world. They are truth and will give you a place of truth within which to rest, a place of peace and of comfort. They can heal, they can provide, they can reveal what no other words can – the character of One who is faithful, trustworthy, loving, and caring. Your words can do the same.

I am beginning to understand that I do not see clearly, that I do not know the true motivation of others nor of their thoughts and plans. I only know what I think I see, and now realize I am usually led away from truth. I can only trust Your words it seems, and that only because I can trust the One behind them to reveal their truth.

And that is Light: it reveals as it is, that men are drawn to it for what it truly reveals within them and what can be revealed through them. It is to be cherished, and desired, for within it is all Life. Set your vision upon it and all that you desire within shall come to pass.
