I would have you choose what is of benefit

Day 224
I have come to the decision that I am responsible for my happiness, that it is not something I should seek from others. I know what I would like to see in my life: that which is good, and profound, and stimulating to my heart and spirit. I also know that which is harmful, that which I would not see in my life. I have the choice of either, that which I believe does not benefit and that which does. I can discern the difference; I can choose.
I would also not have my happiness dependent upon that which I think You should do, or provide, but realize that happiness is my choice, and comes with Your guidance and support. You will lead me into all that is good for me. I need to make the effort in what I would see and not make the assumption that it will just happen without my involvement. And yet to remember that while all things may be lawful not all things are beneficial, and that the goodness I would see would be to the good of others.
I would also be conscious of my attention, my focus: to see the detail of what lies before me without having my thoughts so much wander to the future that I miss the value of the current. It requires me to pay attention to what I am about presently, for that will determine my choice for benefit.

I too would have you choose what is of benefit, for that is wisdom. It is also maturity; one cannot be as a child continuously, but to begin to make choices that reveal the kingdom to the benefit of others, and not just yourself. This you have seen, and at the same time, are learning. Nothing, or any detail, should escape your attention, for you have the power to alter all. To ignore, or let go by, is to miss an opportunity for goodness to be displayed, perhaps never to be seen again.
Wisdom is the best guide, but one’s attention needs to be upon Wisdom for guidance to occur. This guidance is always – a streaming consciousness of the kingdom, given to those who seek it continuously. It is never ending, always available. Always yours.
