Day 247

Along the way of the journey will come the inevitable testing of the intent. Will there be a falling, a moving away of association, an abandonment because of the hardship that intention brings? Can you pull back from the mire of detail of world suffering, to put yourself into a vision that oversees a much greater picture, a much larger hope, a much larger involvement of Me within men’s hearts?

It is always with great hope that one would overcome with great intention, aside from the one great unseen intent of man’s heart, and that is to be with Me. I say it many times, and in many ways, that to move within your own power will surely lead to defeat with the effort. Have you not experienced this personally? I know you have, and it is commendable that you would continue to pursue the intention of having better outcomes from all your efforts.

Yet, you have seen where that leads: to failure, that leads to disappointment, guilt, and a greater motivation to try again under perhaps a different approach. Time moves, and you are no closer to your goal. You seek an outcome that would bring peace to your heart, yet the struggle to overcome rarely brings any peace at all, for there are always other areas within demanding your attention.

Yet all is not in vain: your desire to commit to your beliefs in your walk with Me is commendable and noteworthy. There is only one way to grasp hold of what has been freely given to you, what you seek in all your efforts, the overcoming you desperately want for your life – and that is with Me. You have seen, in a somewhat circular manner, that the answer to your dilemma of being truly free, lies here – in My presence. And your intentions are not unfounded – they just won’t bring to you what you desire without the devotion I can bring to them, to your heart, to your being. This you know.

Your overriding intent, therefore, should be to remain with Me, to not abandon the relationship we have built with one another, to not forget the intimacy of revelation we have shared. I see your desire to remain steadfast here, with this intent, and I will surely give you Mine. Then we shall see together the results of your other intentions. You will be surprised, and elated, at the pathway to their completion. Therefore, abide with Me always, and make that your intention for now.
