I am not too late; I am not without power and Might

Day 148

I can see the chess pieces moving – not in a long, thought-provoking manner, but much more like a timed match – sudden moves to see what the opponent might do. This is play for control of the game, of the board, that the ultimate defeat might prevail even if by accident. Is the opponent caught off-guard? No, not in this case – He knows each move before it is made, even the so-called thoughtless actionable ones, the ones without plan, those that seek piece removal at any cost, that cause damage. Even sacrifice becomes a strategy towards dominion for play such as this. Would the key be to not see the plays but the Player?

You are witnessing the ‘scorched earth’ strategy of the enemy – that which would cause the greatest fear, the greatest loss of life, the greatest loss of confidence and trust in the One who would rescue. When all hope appears lost everyone moves to the place of personal survival and would gladly give up all to live a moment more.

But as you have seen this is not the life in Me – Mine is rest, assurance, peace; these can never be given by the enemy. If man were wise, he would seek these things and discover them within Me, and therefore would be with Me.

Here then is the only tactic of the enemy to prevent this: fear – the fear of loss, whether life, possessions, security, and he makes these to be seen by all, to distract from the real purpose of overcoming. Within Me is the place of strength, of security, of Wisdom and Peace. Nothing is lost and gain is all; for My kingdom is ever expanding.

So be patient, at ease within you with belief in Me, and I will show you the strategy of My heart for man. I am not too late; I am not without power and Might; I am not without purpose, and strength, and not without a plan. Be at My side and I will show you the great unfolding of mercy, kindness, and goodness against which the enemy has no power, no strength, and no will.
