It remains to trust the One who would lead you

Why do you hesitate?

I think it's because it's been so long, a month without directly hearing. Do I still remember how? And yet, there You are, even before I have thought. Why do I ever doubt Your word? I would be here whether You spoke or not... yet You always do.

I sense the need to be here more often, and not only when I am in a pause working with what You have spoken before. That's important. Your voice speaks through words of the past as if they were spoken today — again for the first time. I have been lost in them, but sometimes treat them as if they were the past; that I need something for today, perhaps to prove to myself we can still have new conversations. I act in this confused way, yet know and believe otherwise.

But I think there's value to me in hearing You directly more often, not just for what is said but for the experience of being with You in this way. My heart finds a different level of presence, of encounter, of new possibilities to be expressed. I need that too.

I express these words... and I am there.

And this is where we would always be. Not just within the events of the previous days — for I am there too — but here where our hearts meld with companionship, discovery, planning for the next moments. I would have you here as often as you feel you would want to be here.

It's not a separation — I am here while you are there — but here no matter where you might be. Are you within your trading? I am there, within the numbers, within the hope, within all that would increase you in all ways. Are you working? I am there, in all your desires for outcomes, for blessing others, even preserving for future outcomes that may not involve you at all. Yet we are always together in these. And in your other tasks, am I not there too? Do not lose to distraction, to looking elsewhere; seek Me in all you do and I am there. We have spoken many times of this: it's not a failure, it's a reminder to seek for Me within all you do, all you hope, all you plan, all you are.

I hear the concern within you of events without: the wars, rumors of wars, these cycles of man, the chaos of survival. I see your nervousness at what transpires financially each day, the searching for the ways to prosper, to move through these events with safety for the family. Yet, you see within our action together — how we move through them differently than in the past; you feel it even now. Events do not impact you as before; you now look for Me within them. And now we can talk of them without panic, without fear, to see them as they are: not bad, not good. And that's key for moving through them.

See the sheep. They graze upon the hills, seemingly content. Are they unaware of the issues that surround them? Is there fear? Instinctively they know the only response is to seek the shepherd, the place of safety.

I know you are above the sheep in knowledge, in understanding, in reasoning, in wisdom. Yet their instincts should be yours too. Would you graze within events, see them as they are, search within them for the truth, knowing all along that I am there? Would you search for Me even as the sheep search for a shepherd? Doing so allows you to move to hillsides that are unknown, undiscovered, the joy of the new.

It remains to trust the One who would lead you there. Doing so overcomes fear, questions of why, inability of movement. With Me all are conquered. Your thoughts of provision, of the future, the uncertainty of coming events — all are within the freedom of My presence, My longing, our togetherness in all things we would do, wherever we would go.
