Day 265

You have always known wealth to be a desire for me whether from family influence, or my own need to be successful even the ideas of achieving the American dream of home, investment success, retirement (with all the attendant travel and financial benefits) have been at the forefront of my thoughts.

Born among all the manifestations of wealth has come the idea of neutrality: that none of the ideas or appearances of wealth are inherently good or bad, but neutral only the only ‘good or bad’ being my perspective of them. These are my thoughts now, with even the ‘good or bad’ concept possibly being changed: for instance, my perspectives could be ‘good’ all the time if they would lead me to a deeper relationship with You.

Current thoughts tend to lean towards the idea of receiving all that I would need in the time of desire, with no need for accumulation. I would want that desire to be centered in You – an example being the story of the coins in the mouth of the fish: the idea of provision appearing based on desire that allows for the miraculous. This context leads to other questions: Why accumulate if everything is given? What is the deeper meaning of security? Where does fear lurk in all of this?

I would not stand before a reflection only to see shadows, to stare at something I cannot comprehend. And I would not explain the lack of clarity as something to be understood only at my heavenly ascent: I believe the mirror should reflect who I am in You, in clarity and sharpness, in full understanding. For this is who I am even now, and the wisdom of wealth is a part of that understanding.

I would wish to see the truth of wealth: that all is given, everything I would need or want; a possibility of the miraculous; a journey into the revelation of wealth, with signposts leading me to greater wisdom and manifestation.

You have chosen wisely, yet you also see the risk. You could walk in your own understanding, the knowledge of those before you, the wisdom of the crowds of the successful, even your friends. Yet, you have set those aside for now to investigate the possibilities that might be with Me.

You see the magnificence of the Kingdom, needs met through miraculous provision, and have wondered how that applies to you. And you would desire all to run through your life as you believe it should. You would do well to channel your desire in this way and allow Me to lead you into all understanding, for I would have you know.

The risk is not in failure, but in not trying. The risk is not embracing the unseen Kingdom that is yours, but instead, keeping the little you have out of fear the story of the talents would reveal as much. But I see your enthusiasm for the experiment, and I would welcome the chance to walk with you in revelation. I would share all in wisdom and understanding. I would give all, as I have to you, for the opportunity to share My heart with one who seeks after it, even at supposed great risk. The journey will be joyful for both of us exciting, with great possibility. The glass will become clear before your eyes for you shall see Me in you...and that is the greatest desire of all.

When they came to Capernaum, those who collected the temple tax came to Peter and said, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?” He said, “Yes.”

When he came into the house, Jesus spoke first, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth collect tolls or a tax? From their own sons or from others?”

Peter said to him, “From others.”

Jesus said to him, “Then the sons are exempt.

But, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea, cast a hook, and take the first fish that you pull up. When you open its mouth, you will find a silver coin. Take that coin and give it to them for me and for you.”

Matthew 17.24-27
