I see how distracted I have been and my wandering as a result. My mind is preoccupied, my actions reveal desire unfulfilled, and all things I do are to lead to temporary satisfaction. Even when I recognize my desire to be obsessive, and should release myself from its control, I find myself fighting a battle; even in overcoming it does not remain far from me – always there, always enticing, unless another distraction takes its place.
If I have difficulty with the things I prefer not to be in my life, have no benefit, and lead away from what I would have, how much more the things of blessing – will they too become a distraction? Am I able to let them go to stay focused with what I truly want from deep within?

You have reached this place of deciding what is of the greatest benefit for your heart. It is not an easy road – the immediate satisfaction of life demands attention for fulfillment, the sound a cacophony to drown out all other eternal joys. But you have seen the power of desire and the need to use it as a weapon of life, to choose to desire that which might remain unseen, yet much more powerful for change.
Life is never meant for craving, nor satisfaction of body, nor accumulation for security. It is meant for the greater: the soaring desire for the eternal, the majestic goodness, the endless and unimagined possibility. When you have met these has your heart not been lifted to such a high place that the temporary things of desired pleasures seem so small, so unimportant, perhaps even meaningless?
This battle over desire is your current experience, and this is always the place of choice, and the more often the greater is chosen the easier it becomes for you to choose in the future. It is always choosing Me and our future together, or yourself and the continuing struggle that ensues. For I would not leave you, nor leave you to struggle through these situations alone – and this becomes the great battle of the heart. I desire your heart to always desire to be with Me, and I will fight for it to do so.
You are right to see that the choice is easier with the things you recognize are not the best for you, and you will surely need to deal with the things that may appear to be of great benefit, great resources, great goodness. Can you then choose in the same fashion? We shall see – but know that I am always with you at these points of decision and will never leave you…whatever you decide.

It is not an easy road — the immediate satisfaction of life demands attention for fulfillment, the sound a cacophony to drown out all other eternal joys. Yet, you have glimpsed the profound strength of desire, its potential as a force for transformation. You are choosing to yearn for what lies beyond the visible, to embrace the unseen currents that hold the power to reshape your creations.

Life is not for mere craving, nor the fleeting satisfaction of the body, nor accumulation for security. It is meant for the greater—a soaring desire for the eternal, a pursuit of majestic goodness, and an embrace of infinite, unimagined possibilities.
When you have touched these heights, has your heart not been lifted to such a high place that the temporary things of desired pleasures seemed diminished, unimportant, perhaps even meaningless?
For in the presence of the eternal, the temporary fades, and the heart finds its true, exalted home.
"Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." — Colossians 3.1-2

For I would not leave you, nor leave you to struggle through these situations alone—and this becomes the great battle of the heart. This battle is not one of strength, but of surrender—a longing to remain close to Me, even when the path grows steep.
I desire your heart to always desire to be with Me, and I will fight for it to do so.

You are wise to recognize that some choices become clear when they no longer serve your highest good. Yet, you will surely need to deal with opportunities that may appear radiant with great benefit, abundant in value, and rich in potential. In those moments, can you choose with the same clarity and courage?
The path ahead will reveal itself moment by moment, but know this: I am with you at every crossroads, a steadfast Presence, unwavering in My support. No matter the direction you choose, you are never alone—your journey is ours to share.
