You know I will come

I suppose my heart is occupied with the unsteadiness of life going forward: the issues of war, politics, surviving the financial fall of America, all the issues that seem to divide men into warring camps. I see myself in a tent alone, pouring over maps and papers, strategizing for the family in moving forward. I do not fear for safety, nor even pay much attention to what is happening outside.

From this viewpoint it seems I am to do nothing in this moment. In ways I find this reassuring: it’s a way of processing what’s happening, without the panic of having to do something, even if the urge to go outside is always there. I don’t sense the need to be outside just yet. I would remain with You.

There is a time and place for all things. Most circumstances push in these two directions continuously, as if action is always needed in the moment. You recall the time I waited on Lazarus, to allow for all the others to be within the moment of a miracle; even such a small thing as water into wine deserved its development into the moment of revelation. And that’s the heart at work: to allow it to be in the place of revelation of My presence in all things.

If You do not sense My presence within your moments then it’s just a time of waiting – and within that time of waiting is your wisdom and knowledge developing, your faith being renewed, your heart being settled in peace and hopefulness. This is the place of trust: a resting in the moment for My presence. You know I will come, that I will be there not just for the revelation of an event you have watched for, but for your heart too.

More than the event itself is our place together. Will you wait for Me? Can you trust I will be there for you? If you can, you will witness amazing things from our kingdom. You will come to understand the deeper things of our relationship, the hopes of your heart revealed, the wisdom of your creations revealed in their proper time. All things will work together for those who have this trust in Me.
