Light will come upon darkness suddenly and the darkness instantly will be no more

Day 107

I see from a small perspective that evil systems of governance will exist as long as there is evil intent in men’s hearts, no matter the source or influence, and that the overcoming of these evil tendencies to control men requires one to be within the system itself, as an influence for good and truth. It is from within only that an evil system can be overcome.

You proved that within Your life: a life interacted within one of the most controlling, unrepentant, and oppressive tyrannies then known to man – the Roman Empire. You moved within, revealing the truth of the love of a God that cares for all, that reveals all, that sacrificed for all. You proved all by Your miracles, Your teachings, Your presence. Even the oppressive regime could find no fault, yet still eliminated what was viewed as a pest within, much to their detriment. Perhaps it didn’t matter, in that your presence was their doom, alive or dead (or so they thought).

But my point is proven – truth, life, goodness, and love becomes the new system to replace the old, even every time men would repeat the mistakes of the past. Conforming to a system does not mean acquiescence; it is, rather, overcoming that system in Spirit. Martin Luther and Martin Luther King Jr had it right too. Elijah was redirected back to the system; Shadrack, Meshack, Abednego had it right too: to live within the system but to not conform. Gideon lived within, then directed by You to move tactfully to overcome.

It is much like living within the heart of man: I have an intimate knowledge of structure, feeling, desire, hope, power, and strength that is not revealed to the outside. It is not My intent to overcome that which I have created and love, but to allow the truth of that creation to be revealed, the goodness to be shown, and the greatness to be expressed.

Men’s intents to govern may begin the same way, but will always end in defeat, for they work and move from an impure heart. Impure cannot create pure. And so all of men’s creations decay and come to nothing.

Yet within there is always a light, and that light will always overcome the darkness; and the light will always prevail even when unseen by the darkness. Light will come upon darkness suddenly and the darkness instantly will be no more.

I have made you a light: you do not fully comprehend that truth, nor have you seen its revelation, yet it is there. And because it is darkness will be overcome. Be where you are but always seek after Me – I will reveal all things when needed.
