Let nothing dissuade you from inquiry

Day 256
The unexplained is always a mystery to man, for he craves answers to all that is unknown. Unfortunately, if he cannot find an answer he will invent one, for no action can allow a mystery to remain. And so it lies with Me – man would use Me as an answer to his mysteries, would assign reasons for My actions or inaction – for his heart needs to know why.

You are not indifferent to this reasoning either – for one always seeks to understand. Yet to understand My heart is freely given to those who would inquire. Nothing is withheld in understanding My compassion, goodness, and love, but only if explored with Me. For man to assert his reasoning for why I would do anything without this understanding is a fool’s errand, for can man understand God without revelation of Me to his heart and mind?
Still, I have not hidden everything from him and would gladly share My thoughts. His questions move Me to reveal Myself in ways unseen before by him. The mysteries of the Kingdom are revealed to him, and those who persist in their uncovering, only if they are close to My heart. Answers are not withheld; they are not undiscoverable but are freely given to those who would walk with Me.
You have set your heart for this task and the answers are revealed as you pursue, for we are One, and does One not know all? Seek therefore to continue to inquire; do not delay your thoughts toward Me; be free with your questions and I will answer. For I would share all, as I have given all to you. What is Mine is yours.
Come let us explore together; let not time move away from you without a conversation between us; let nothing dissuade you from inquiry. For from the depths of My heart I would have you see the depths of yours.
One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
to behold the graciousness of the LORD,
and to visit early in His temple.
– Psalm 27.4
"Its fulfilment depends not on where we are, but on what we think and feel; for every place is God’s house, and what the Psalmist desires is that he should be able to keep up unbroken consciousness of being in God’s presence and should be always in touch with Him. That seems hard, and people say, ‘Impossible! how can I get above my daily work, and be perpetually thinking of God and His will, and consciously realizing communion with Him?’ But there is such a thing as having an undercurrent of consciousness running all through a man’s life and mind; such a thing as having a melody sounding in our ears perpetually, ‘so sweet we know not we are listening to it’ until it stops, and then, by the poverty of the naked and silent atmosphere, we know how musical were the sounds that we scarcely knew that we heard, and yet did hear so well high above all the din of earth’s noises."
– MacLaren’s Commentary
