Day 214
It’s interesting to sit here alone, so to speak, with my thoughts about what can be moment by moment with You. Is it possible to take my eyes off the ‘everything’ of life – family, work, the events of nation and the world – and focus on a moment with You wherein nothing of movement forward seems to be happening at all?
I look to see something happening, much like Simon, yet I am constantly being told to observe where I am, the people around me, the circumstances of the close things; and even in those feel that I am just watching and not doing anything to help where I believe help is needed.
It’s not that I feel the need to do something – it’s more I am thinking You want to do something; yet I do not see, or I am not aware, that anything is happening. Is this what waiting means? And am I to find something within this place that I do not see?

I know you have come to the awareness that I am not one that sits by idly, just observing the mad gyrations of humankind – uninvolved, with only a modest amount of caring. Love does not rest in repose as just an emotion, a feeling of togetherness, and unaware of the purpose of its being. On the contrary, love seeks fulfillment of all, in all. It seeks its fullest expression, that it in turn would receive the same full expression. It gives all that it might receive all.
And so it moves: circumstances, people, creation, all change because of love. What you perceive as nothing appearing to happen is, and you know this, just a matter of perception. One needs to pursue love to see what love is doing. And that doing is the expression of My heart, My love towards all things I have created, My love towards you.
Nothing in the kingdom is still, but all is at rest. Even peace is in motion, for it moves against that which it is not. And so in your modest awareness of ‘nothing seems to be happening’, know that it is not true, for I would see you come into all I have for you. And that is always motion.
My eyes are always upon you. If you would always have your eyes upon Me, and be watchful in the moments, you would see the flow of My Spirit in all things. And you would cherish this place of the nothing and see that in it is the everything.
